On World Diabetes Day, our Cities Changing Diabetes Lisbon partners will celebrate with a fresh surge of new activities and an expansion of its steering committee, welcoming new partners. Further research is also being finalised, including a foodscapes assessment for the Ajuda parish.

Foodscapes event is going live from Lisbon on World Diabetes Day, and you are invited

The community partners Gehl, Locals Approach, and Steno Diabetes Center Copenhagen will present the foodscapes work at an event at the City Hall on 14 November. You can watch the case video from Lisbon here and see how they approach the topic of healthy food. Paul Bloch, from Steno Diabetes Center Copenhagen, will present the Tingbjerg Changing Diabetes community programme at the event.

This week, I was interviewed by Público, a national newspaper in Portugal, about Cities Changing Diabetes. You can read the article here (in Portuguese). The World Diabetes Day event will feature discussions and presentations by local and global Cities Changing Diabetes partners, including a session on Inclusive Healthy Places. It will be streamed live and reach a national audience through Público's Facebook and YouTube channels. You can register here if you would like to attend the event online.
