On 12 January, partners from Cities Changing Diabetes Germany met with BLOXHUB and Hamburg-based partner agency Nordlicht to explore new opportunities to collaborate and share insights for sustainable urbanization. BLOXHUB was founded to create new ways of working to meet and address the challenges of global urbanization and climate change.

Cities Changing Diabetes Germany explores new pathways for collaboration

The workshop was a chance to explore the different ways in which Cities Changing Diabetes Germany could make use of BLOXHUB's specific expertise, and how the parties could pull together their strengths to support the creation of regional networks.

One of the first outcomes to be locked in was the proposal that BLOXHUB will facilitate workshops with city representatives from network partner cities, Mainz and Nuremberg. Network contacts have been shared and regional cooperation to promote urban health, with engagement support from BLOXHUB, in Nuremberg, Leipzig, Mainz, Mannheim, Munich, Hamburg, and Berlin is in the pipeline.
