On 21 June, Cities Changing Diabetes hosted the 9th CCD Rounds webinar focusing on Madrid's ALAS programme (The Alimentación, Actividad fisica y Salud – Food, Physical Activity and Health). Our partners from Madrid Salud, the city's government institution for public health, shared ten years of experience in creating behavioural change and promoting healthier lifestyles to its citizens.

Madrid Salud shared how strategies are being put to work to change unhealthy habits and raise awareness about nutrition and exercise's effect on health. This also included insights on how families, communities, schools and businesses have been engaged and how more intensive interventions for people at higher risk of developing type 2 diabetes work in practice.
